ANTIKOMPLEX (CZECH REPUBLIC)
Since 1998, the Antikomplex civic association has been, through its projects, discovering, researching and reflecting upon the German past of the Czech Republic. It has carried out many projects, many of them acquired international appreciation. In 2005 in Berlin, “The Lost Sudetenland” was awarded by Georg-Dehio Kulturpreis. Many projects are based on the idea “looking for traces of history”, for example the school-project called “Beyond the school”. Website address: www.antikomplex.cz
HORNEMANN INSTITUTE (GERMANY)
The Hornemann Institute dedicates itself mainly to international knowledge transfer for the continuing training of conservation specialists via new media. Additionally, the Hornemann Institute distributes information about preserving cultural heritage among the general public, especially youth. Realizing the futility of our efforts to preserve our heritage if our children are unable to relate to it, the Hornemann Institute has taken the “anniversary” of the world Hildesheim World Cultural Heritage as an occasion to work closely with 35 teachers and 550 students to compile educational material on the Heritage Site and make it available to teachers free of charge.
